Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
There are approximately 820,000 registered refugees living in the West Bank. 250,000 live in 19 refugee camps in West Bank and East Jerusalem facing serious protection issues due to violent Israeli military operations that take place within the camps. At present, Palestinian refugees are the extremely vulnerable to unemployment, poverty and food insecurity. Food insecurity in Palestine is predominantly caused by the economic situation. The cost of food is so high that already impoverished families have to spend half of their incomes on food. This means sacrificing their other urgent needs just to eat. Food packs cost £50 each and supply one family enough food for a month.
I am raising funds this Ramadan for those in Palestine, forced into living in refugee camps without much freedom, money, food, water etc. I'm raising money to go towards food packs and iftar for families during the holy month.
I have joined Penny Appeal to raise a minimum of £300 for the families living in these awful conditions.
Earlier this year I also joined Penny Appeal on the grounds in Palestine to personally help distribute food parcels in these same refugee camps.
I would appreciate it if you would continue to help support this cause and help me raise more food parcels for the Palestinians in these camps.
