This is the ultimate fundraising challenge in golf. Real heroes all over the UK get together in teams of four to play 4 rounds and 72 holes to raise as much sponsorship money as they can.

Story

I work in the Golf industry, for the Governing Body for Amateur golf, to be precise.  Thirteen of us from England Golf are taking part in the Longest Day Golf Challenge and will be walking 20 MILES, for Macmillan Cancer Support.  I am smashing my step count that day!  Playing 72 holes at Woodhall Spa Golf Club on 21st June, we are helping to raise funds to support people living with cancer.

Would I say that I am a golfer, um .... no, am I learning to play the game, yes.  This is probably not the best way to fast track that learning however, it is for a brilliant cause and I am sure that my, *cough skills, will be tested to the maximum. I plan to have a good laugh at myself as I go round, enjoy being out in the open and raising some money for a wonderful cause.

We're hoping that with Macmillan, we can help to make this event an even bigger success.  Personally, I am looking for any help and support that I can receive for this great cause.. Our team members are  Nick Pink, Richard Flint, Simon Wilson, Tom Allen, Abbie Lench, Lee Dolby, Lauren Spray, Steve Burnett, Sam Czornyj, me and our friends at Magnetic Studio - Paul Robinson, David Saddlington and Martyn Young.

An early morning start and a late finish are on the cards for that day, so wish me luck and a good supply of golf balls!
