Story

.

For most of us a walk in the great outdoors on a fine summers day is something we give little thought to. And so it was for Martin Williams, until one day in August 1995 he was told he had M.S. Martin, a keen hill walker, having climbed Snowdon on many occasions, refused to give in and in 1998 he took part in the Welsh Triathlon. Gradually, however, he began to lose the physical fight with this dreadful disease and is now confined to a wheelchair.

But, he’s never given in and this year he hopes, with a little help from his friends, to go back to Snowdon. Of course, it involves a bit more organisation than before. Firstly, a mountain of regulations had to be climbed, then Martin and his sons had to persuade 16 of their friends to spend the summer training to help carry the wheelchair up Wales’s highest mountain. One by one each of these obstacles has been overcome and now the great day awaits.

So, please come climb with us on the 14th August to support and celebrate

Martin’s Big Mountain Ride- Martins Taith Myndd Mawr!

And raise some much needed money for Danybryn Cheshire Home.
