Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Some of you already know that the past 12 months have been some of the hardest for our family. On the 5th October last year our 3 year old nephew Henry contracted two types of Ecoli and a disease called HUS which attacks our kidneys, stomach and brain.
Henry was admitted to Bristol Children's hospital on the 11th October 2013 and was in a coma for 6 weeks. Nearly Nine months later there has been some improvement and he has recently been moved to www.thechildrenstrust.org.uk Neuro rehab centre which is the UK's leading charity for children with brain injury. Henry has now started a rehabilitation programme to prepare him and his family to return home later this year.
Together with a group of friends we have decided to do our bit and raise much needed funding for the Children's Trust. Your donations support hundreds of children and young people from right across the country. Each year the Trust needs to raise at least £7 million to run vital services for children with brain injury, and help reach out to more children and families across the UK.
On September 28th we will be swimming 750m in the sea, cycling 21.5km and running 5km at the www.dawlishtriathlon.co.uk Any of you whom know Kate and I will appreciate that this is not going to be easy for either of us. We have been training hard and even bought one piece Tri-Suits in order that we at least look the part.
So please dig deep and sponsor us. Every penny helps and your donation will not only help Henry but children from across the UK.
