This September I take on all 1100 miles of the LEJOG bike ride in 10 days.  I turned 40 in January this year so some of this may be down to mid life crisis, or so my fellow colleagues at work tell me.  Will certainly get me fitter!  But...

Last October my Dad passed away from Cancer aged 67.  For the last few weeks he was looked after in the Macmillan unit at Christchurch hospital.  Whilst it was a painful and difficult time they looked after him with such care making it as comfortable and as painless as possble for Dad and all close relatives.  I wanted to do something to say thanks to them and hopefully this is a wonderful way of raising a serious amount of money to help.
