I am riding 900 miles from Lands End to John O'Groats in 9 days from Friday 24th May 2013 to Saturday 1st June 2013. Ross was one of my students at Balshaw's High School and was the keystone of a superb football team whom I had the privilege of 'managing' for five years. After Ross left Balshaw's I had the pleasure of accompanying him on a number of fishing trips and his death in August after a long, brave battle against cancer has left a profound gap - we lost a wonderful young man who left an indelible mark on everyone he met.
