Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Thank you for taking out the time to have a look at my page and reading about my story, just spending the short time reading about why im raising money and running the london marathon gives the little bit more awareness that the stroke association need.
I will be trying my best to keep everyone updated with my progress on the money front and also how much i am going to struggle with the training :)
Why im raising money and running the marathon?
my dad mick had a stroke back in oct 2010 and like many i didnt realise how much it would affect our lifes and also my dads. Before his stroke he was like any other 56 year, fit and healthy and enjoyed a good drink. After his stroke he is unable to work and will be affected by the stroke for the rest of his life. I'm raising money for the stroke association not only because they have helped with my dads recovery but also to raise awareness for people that might find themselves in the same situation as my family and I.
I'm not asking for anything less than all your money :-) joking aside any amount of money i raise will mean so much to me and my family that words really cant describe. My target is £3000 but i would be so chuffed if i could raise more, even if you can spare £5, everything counts and will help me on my way to the target.
The marathon is no easy task and if you know me then you know im one lazy bugger, but im in full training already so will be putting every last inch of my body on the line to succeed my goals and finish in a respectable time.
Thanks for reading and please dig deep and donate. Everything helps and it really does mean so much to me that people want to help by donating money for a great cause.
Thanks again
