Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In July next year I am taking part in the Barclays 5 peaks challenge for Tomorrow’s people. The challenge involves climbing the 5 highest peaks in the British Isles in 48 hours, which are Snowdon(Wales), Scafell Pike(England), Ben Nevis (Scotland), Slieve Donard (Northern Ireland) and Carrauntoohil (Rep of Ireland). Which is going to be an interesting experience and after talking to several friends who have completed the 3 peaks I’m wondering just what exactly I’ve signed myself up for and if I’ll remember any of it when I finish. J

The charity is called Tomorrow’s people and their mission is to help the most disadvantaged unemployed adults into work, possible for the first time, by providing them the support and skills they need to enter the work place. A lot of the people they help come from homes where both parents and sometimes grandparents have never worked so reaching these people and supporting them into employment helps break the cycle of generational worklessness that’s so corrosive in those communities.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
