On the 5th of December 2012 I will be taking part in the Fire Walk for Cancer Research. This challenge is not just as a personal one for me but is also an opportunity to support a worthy cause.

At some point each and every one of us will have been touched by cancer, whether it be a family member, a friend or someone you know. I had the chance a number of years ago to meet people at the Royal Marsden hospital in London that were going through their treatment process; I was able to sit and talk with them and how they were coping with their individual battles against cancer. It was very humbling and emotional to hear their story and their family’s stories of the journey they have taken in the fight against cancer. It is something that I will never forget.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer which is the most efficient way to donate.
