The "Mac 4x4" is a "challenge" for 4x4 enthusiasts. It aims at testing navigational, orienteering and observation skills, with on and off road sections, and endurance by day and night. Myself and Matt will again be taking part in the challenge in March 2014, and hope to raise as much as possible along the way. It is intended to be a testing long weekend covering a grueling journey of up to 1000 miles with various "tests" en route.

 

Firstly Matt and I had some fantastic support along the way last year, but a few synics. We are paying for this challenge ourselves and raising much needed funds for MacMillan along the way. We did this last year and spent many cold nights in the tent, including a freezing night sleep in Aberystwyth at minus 8 degrees with a stomach bug, so i can guarantee you it wasn't easy. All costs including fuel will be covered by Matt and I, and your sponsorship will go directly to MacMillan.

 

With loads of kind sponsorship offers last year, and commercial backing from VIBE audio, Murley Construction Equipment, and SE Davis and Son Ltd, we managed to make a total of £908.08 last year. 

 

This year is the 13th Mac 4x4 challenge, which will see fundraising top £1,000,000. Please give what ever you can to assist this charity, as in our lifetimes one in three of us will be diagnosed with Cancer. Lets get together and help people now, as one day you might need their assistance....
