Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In June 2010 my wonderful wife Michelle was diagnosed with Breast cancer. Since then she has undergone 2 major operations, 6 months Chemotherapy and 3 weeks radiotherapy.

Through all this she has never moaned, never felt sorry for herself and just tried to carry on as normally as possible, sometimes doing a bit more than she really should do.

I cannot put into words how incredibly proud of her I am as everyday she looks and feels better and I am so lucky to have her.

Throughout her illness Michelle has received wonderful support from all her family and friends as well as all the hospital staff who have been fantastic.

When I told people I was thinking of organising this Coast to Coast event I couldnt believe how many people said they would love to join me in doing so and raising money For Breast cancer care. We have even had to limit the numbers due to travel and accomodation limitations.

The amazing thing is, apart from a donation for the cost of the first nights accomodation and a donation of a mini bus for the event, everyone is doing the event at their own expense so please be assured that every penny donated will be going to the charity.

This is a list of our "friends" who will be joining me in riding the 190 miles from St Bees to Robin Hoods Bay.

From South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue.

Layton Eratt, Darren Beachell, Chris Shepherd and Dan "ladyarms" Connelley.

From Lincolnshire Police.

Wendy Parry and Phil Brown.

From Cheshire Police.

Simon Newell.

Driving our transport and organising catering and accomodation and putting up tents with Michelle will be

Sarah Eratt and Janet Newell.

We have set our fundraising target at £1000 just because this site needs you to set one but really we just want to raise as much as possible to say thank you for all the wonderful support that Breast cancer care has given us.

Huge thank you in anticipation

Mark and Shell

Huge thank you to The Fire Brigades Union who have made a donation towards the cost of the two nights camping, Thank you!
