Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My name is Mark and I am living in the Swansea. I am married to Julie. My hobbies are travel, photography and cycling. I also have a passion for Mission and overseas development.
I lived in Mozambique for 8 years from 1998 working with church planters and developing leaders in a church context. My wife Julie, worked as a volunteer with an organisation called Kubutsirana, in Chimoio during our time there.
In 2006 we returned to the UK to work with local churches in Swansea. But we have kept this passion for overseas mission alive combining our Uk responsibilities with seeing God changing lives in the nations of the world and since 2010 we have been travelling several times a year working in several SE Asian countries.
We want to see 'hope' change lives and continue to involve ourselves with worthwhile projects and causes and this is why I decided to ride 'Cycle of Hope' Rwanda.
My passion for cycling and helping others means I am joining a group of cyclists on their bikes in Rwanda next February taking part in Tearfund’s Cycle of Hope Challenge.
We will be clocking up 60 miles a day taking in stunning Rwandan scenery but more importantly, we are going to meet in person the very individuals and families we will be raising support for in Rwanda.
I am the only Welsh participant in a wider team of 20 cyclists from around the UK. And they need you to help them get the wheels of support in motion by sponsoring them and praying for them.
In Rwanda, Tearfund are helping to envision and mobilise communities living in extreme poverty to help themselves address issues such as gaining access to clean water and sanitation, peace and reconciliation, modern farming methods and food security. All the things that we in Wales take for granted.
Your support and prayers will make a real difference to real people in living in extreme poverty in Rwanda, and Mark would love you to consider sponsoring him.
Thank You!
