Story
"Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page!"
I completed the challenge! It was an amazingly successful week of fundraising which I put 100% of my energy into (I think I'm still recovering from swimming in the freezing serpentine lake)
Please take a look at my VIDEO on: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojpA-acIAdM
*Funds raised on this page will go to the Foundation for Mother and Child Health. (see bottom of page)
Marianne will be wearing a CROCODILE costume in Central London for AS MANY DAYS AS SHE CAN in one week - in an attempt to raise money and awareness for conservation and healthcare projects in Indonesia.
With sponsorship, she is just about willing to stay in this silly outfit ALL DAY AND NIGHT – in lectures, town, pubs, clubs and even while cooking, cycling through Notting Hill, and studying in the library.
"It will be stupid, hugely impractical, childish, and downright strange, so PLEASE sponsor me so I can keep SOME dignity!
I'll be taking up this challenge after my exams in January - hopefully I will get enough sponsorship by then :) "
THE CAUSE:
Before volunteering as a research assistant in Indonesian rainforests with Operation Wallacea this summer, I will be volunteering for the Foundation for Mother and Child Health (FMCH) in Jakarta. Please visit FMCH's page to find out more: www.motherandchildhealth.org.
This is an incredible opportunity and a brilliant cause, so please support me through the silly ideas I come up with to raise the funds!
* p.s: I have used my own money to fund the operation wallacea expedition, so the FUNDS RAISED ON MY PAGE WILL GO TO THE FOUNDATION FOR MOTHER AND CHILD HEALTH
:)
