Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Last year, I walked with a Band of Brothers, from Barnsley Football Club to Chesterfield Football Club, to raise money for a local Charity. Now I'm doing it again.

This time, I'll be walking to the match against Bradford City Football Club, on Saturday April 25th

The walk is around 24 miles, and commemorates 30 years since the Bradford Fire Disaster. On 11th May 1985, 56 football fans went to watch Bradford City, and never came home.

Once again, the walk will be raising money for two fantastic local Charities..

  • Plastic Surgery & Burns Research Unit - was founded in 1985, following the Bradford Fire Disaster
  • Jaxon's Gift - a local Barnsley Charity, which raises money to help families cope with the loss of a baby

I've got absolutely no doubt we'll lose the match. But I'm kinda used to it by now, and it's not really about that.

Thanks in advance for your support..Marc
