Story

Malcolm Woodfords LEJOG walk

(LEJOG – Lands End to John O Groats)

Blog: http://www.malcolmslejog.blogspot.com/

I am walking 1000 miles from Lands End in Cornwall to John O Groats in Caithness in aid of Naomi's House children's hospice. The Walk takes in some of Britains best long distance footpaths including the incredible Pennines Way which alone is 270m, starting in the peak district near sheffield and finishing over the border into Scotland. I will also use a combination of other footpaths including the South West Coast Path, The Cotswold Way, The Heart of England Way, West Highland Way and the Cape Wrath Trail. Wild camping will be necessary for significant sections of the route.

I am collecting sponsorship for Naomi's House childrens hospice. Naomis house provides support and respite care to people under the age of 18 who are unlikely to live in to adulthood. They have two facilities in Hampshire costing 45 million per year to run, serving sick children in seven counties. They are 93% funded by charitable donations.
