Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am a second year Architecture student at the University of Nottingham and this year as part of our design project, me and 38 other students will be designing a nursery school in the rural village of Lephenpane in Limpopo, South Africa. It is one of the poorest, least developed parts of the country, with high levels of unemployment. In order to build this building, we need your help to raise enough money to cover the costs of materials, tools and project logistics.
Our target for the project is to raise £39,000.Your donation will help provide a bright, clean and safe environment for teaching basic skills, play and music to village children. It will also provide employment for the local women who teach in the nursery school, cook meals, wipe noses and sing and play with the kids.
We pride ourselves on spending as much of our fundraising locally in the communities around the villages we build in - we have no big salaries or expensive offices to fund. Students pay for their own flights and accommodation.
My team and I will be travelling to South Africa in April-May 2017 to build our design. This project is called Myemyela which means Project Smile. You can now be part of this amazing project and help put a smile on these children's faces. Any donation is much appreciated, Thank you!! :)
