We empower disadvantaged young people to learn, earn and grow with Futuremakers

Story

Last year, March/April 2020, I had set a personal challenge to climb a mountain in Nepal and raise funds through that challenge.  Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, I was unable to achieve that and was really disappointed about it.

Since then, I had lost my motivation to train and was feeling quite aimless. With this challenge, I am gathering back my motivation to get back on the trails and get back to feeling good.

I will be covering my targeted distance purely on trails so there will be elevation gains along with my target total accumulated distance of 60km.

My story remains the same as my mountain climbing challenge - I hope that the funds raised will help give young girls from marginalised backgrounds the chance to beat their odds, excel in life and achieve things they never dreamed possible - like scaling mountains.

About Standard Chartered Foundation: The Standard Chartered Foundation focuses on tackling inequality. It promotes greater economic inclusion for disadvantaged young people from low-income households, particularly girls, women and people with visual impairments, providing opportunities to make a better future for themselves and their families. We are the lead delivery partner for Futuremakers by Standard Chartered and fund programmes in the areas of education, employability, entrepreneurship and eye health.
