Story
Well we did it, it was a very wet and muddy Sunday up North but that didn't stop the three of us, and many others getting out and completing the walk. We all had a great time and helped out a lot of dogs in the process. Thanks so much to all the lovely people who very generously sponsored us, and we hope to do it all again next year.
On 3rd October this year Richard and I, along with cutest former Dogs Trust resident Ebony will be taking part in the 10k Leeds Waggy Walk to raise money for Dogs Trust.
Dogs Trust is a cause close to the heart of all three of us. Ebony was picked up as a stray by the local dog warden earlier this year and taken to Dogs Trust Leeds rehoming centre where we immediately fell in love with her.
Dogs Trust do some amazing work rehoming stray and abandoned dogs as well as those who may have had a bad start in life due to experiencing abuse and neglect. And due to their policy of never putting a healthy dog down those dogs that can't be rehomed are cared for in one of the 17 rehoming centres around the country. They also go into schools to teach children about pet care and responsible dog ownership, provide subsidised microchipping to dog owners on low incomes and have just developed the Freedom Project which helps dog owners fleeing domestic violence by arranging for their pets to be fostered while they start a new life.
Dogs Trust are an amazing charity and I'm proud to be able to support them, every penny you give goes directly to Dogs Trust to enable them to carry on helping abandoned dogs. So please give what you can and UK tax payers remember to tick the gift aid box to enable Dogs Trust to claim back more money on your donation at no extra cost to you.
Thank you for your support.
