We fund bone cancer research & grant wishes to seriously ill people #makingmemories

Story

Hi Everyone!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I admit that I am a bit of wimpy rider when it comes to Eventing.  The nerves take hold, I'm a quivering mess and poor Smokes doesn't know what to do!  I needed something to give me a kick up the backside, force me to put my nerves to one side, get out there and "kick-on" as they say in the horsey world!  Then I heard about the Wobbleberry Challenge - aimed at riders just like me to take the focus away from the knots in my stomach to raising money for the best cause - Hannah's Wilberry Wonder Pony.

Hannah was a courageous up and coming event rider.  She was diagnosed with an aggressive form of bone cancer called Osteosarcoma at the age of 17 and she lost her fight in 2016.  Hannah set up her charity during her fight alongside her mascot, Wilberry with the aim of supporting vital research into Osteosarcoma and granting equine related wishes to seriously ill people and their families.

In support of this wonderful charity, with much persuasion, Smokes and I have entered our first affiliated British Eventing 80(T) at Frickley Park in Doncaster on 9 September 2018.  For all of my non-horsey friends, this will involve competing with my lad in three phases - dressage, show jumping (80cm) and cross country (80cm) - eeeeeeek! (Honestly, I can feel the nerves creeping in as I type!!)

I would be just so grateful if you could please sponsor us to help us on our way.  I promise that I will put my nerves to one side (maybe with the help of a shot or two of brandy) and Smokes and I will #kickcancersbutt for Hannah.  Thank you all so much! :-)
