Story

I decided it was time for another challenge !

Some will be surprised when I say I'm not going to be running any marathons I've been there done that.

This time i will competing in a BE Event.

For my non- horsey friends it's basically like a triathlon for horses. Dressage, showjumping and cross country in one day.

some will say it's not much of a challenge for me given the job I do. So to make it a real challenge I will be riding my own pure bred Friesian.  A breed that's used as a carriage horse. Now Alfie is great horse but a nightmare to ride. I don't even know if a Friesian has ever Competed in a BE event.

Alfie has never done any type of competition before. He's never been round a proper course of jumps or even done a dressage test. In fact he's not even done much schooling. He has no awareness of what his legs are doing half the time.

Dave will also be taking part in this with me.

Dave is an ex-racehorse. He like Alfie has never competed in any competitions other than racing round a track.

Dave's biggest challenge is going to be keeping calm long enough to do a dressage test.

So let the challenge begin. I'm sure there will be plenty of blood ,sweat and tears and they will all be mine 😱🐎
