I'm running the Derby 10K in memory of my gran, and will be running for MacMillan cancer support. Macmillan provide support for the 1 in 3 of us who will inevitably get cancer. They provide practical, medical, and financial support for people who have been diagnosed. 

In the final stage of my Gran's fight against cancer she was admitted to the Macmillan cancer unit at Derby Royal Hospital, and the care she received was impeccable. This is why I would like to raise money for them, so that others may receive similar care in the future, and the support unit can continue to grow. My grandad was also admitted to the MacMillan unit whilst he was still with us, I plan on doing a separate event in his name, maybe something a little bigger.

Running alongside me, or potentially behind me if he can't keep up will be my dad. April 6th was his Dads birthday, who I never had the pleasure of meeting.
