Story
If you'd told me a couple of years ago when I was trying to run from one lamppost to the next that I'd be attempting a marathon, I would have laughed my socks off.
And here I am now. I'm laughing, but possibly from hysteria at the prospect of what lies ahead!
Needless to say, running (and finishing!) the 2013 London Marathon will be a huge personal achievement.
I have a ballot place for the 2013 London Marathon and decided I would like to raise money for Cruse Bereavement Care, a charity that does some valuable work supporting people in bereavement.
I've chosen Cruse because of my own personal experience of bereavement at a young age, and because I think that sometimes the people left behind after someone dies need that little bit of extra help and support. Cruse aims to be there to do just that.
I do hope you will donate what you can for my efforts; every little bit helps and I am very grateful for your support.
Equally, I'll be so pleased to see anyone that is able to make it to London on April 21st to cheer me on (and scoop me up at the end!)
Many thanks, Lucy x
