The story of how Willberry Wonder Pony and Hannah has inspired me to push through the fear barrier and train to compete in my first BE 80 next year. I lost my first husband Jeremy to cancer, aged 31 in 2000, and my Mum in September last year. This year my Dad had surgery for prostate cancer, which thankfully has been a complete success due to advances in treatments. Cancer wrecks lives and tears families apart, so I'm trying to raise money to support research into new treatments that save lives and improve outcomes.

I have just turned 40 and not competed in years - I mainly drive my kids around to Pony events these days! Last year I only rode a handful of times due to looking after my Mum and helping my Dad - and i also suffered a fractured hand due to a horsebox ramp falling on me!  So although well out of practice, I am pushing myself to do something scary, for Hannah, for Jeremy, for my Mum - and all those battling cancer - which is far more frightening than this challenge. I hope you can support me, every donation makes a difference.
