Story

Flying Fillies Charity Race - Kelso 22nd May 2011

Kelso Races are staging a Ladies only Charity Flat Race to complete the final day of their season on Sunday 22nd May.
Twelve Ladies who are all associated with the horse racing industry, are taking part in a 1m5f flat race for the Injured Jockeys Fund in aid of “The House that Jack Built.” Jack Berry, the former trainer who is famous for his red shirts, was an integral part in the formation of the IJF in 1964, and is now pressing ahead with a new crusade to build a much needed rehabilitation centre in Malton for Injured Jockeys.
