Lucas's Two World’s Toughest Channel Swims 2015
This summer I completed my goal which was swimming the North and English Channel
On the 23 June I swam the North Channel from Northern Ireland to Scotland and took my 11hrs49min.
Toughest part of that swim was dealing with the cold water and strong tides. I was lucky enough not to get stung by any jellyfish.
My English channel swim was booked for 3rd July but due to weather conditions It was postponded several times and eventaully took place on 5th August.
The toughest part in this channel was extremally strong currents in last 4 hours of the swim and swimming in darkeness with jellyfish stings
as i finished at 2.36am on the 6th of August with time 12hrs36min
I was supported by a boat and the continues swim was done within the rules of channel swim what is NO wetsuit allowed and no physical contact with boat or other people from start to finish.
I came from Poland and I settled in Cookstown 10 years ago and now I would like to give something back to the community that is why I am raising the money for the local cancer charity Charis.
Four nation channel swim is now officially completed
