There aren't a great many things we can do well, so it's always hard coming up with something to do for charity. Instead of a mammouth mountain climb, or a marathon we are sure to fail, we have set ourselves the gruelling task of 48 straight hours in which to complete four games of the Zelda franchise: Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess and The Wind Waker. Veterans of the series will know that this task between two people is no easy feat, as the average player can spend up to fifty hours on each game.
We will be undertaking this challenge in memory of a dear friend, Tom Clabburn who was tragically taken long before his time, due to an unforseen problem with his heart. Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) is a noble charity who strive tirelessly to prevent tragedies like this, and in memory of Tom there couldn't be a better cause.
We can't however, do this alone and we ask you give whatever you can. Our actions mean very little without people like you to give a purpose to them. So please, even if only small, give what you can to this wonderful cause, and we promise to strive our hardest to finish this challenge.
The event itself will be broadcast on webcam through a live stream on our website, so you can stay up late and watch the years of our geekyness finally pay off! The website will be up before the week is out.
Thanks!
