We work in disadvantaged communities to improve literacy skills and life chances

Story

I'm raising money for the National Literacy Trust to help more children and young people across the UK to improve their literacy skills. One in six people in the UK struggle with their literacy skills (meaning they are below the level expected of an 11 year old), which can negatively impact not only education and employment but also health, happiness, confidence and family life.

Literacy is incredibly important in helping people escape the cycle of poverty. So important that I'm going to be running 10km(!) on Sunday, 24th March to help raise money to improve literacy skills. Anything that you can donate would be greatly appreciated and will help me stay motivated on the day.

Thank you.
