Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit this page in memory of Logan Harrison Martin, our beautiful grandson.
Logan was born in Dewsbury on the 11th April but the cord had wrapped around his neck, depriving him of oxygen. They worked really hard to bring him back but he was seriously ill and so they transferred him to the Peter Congdon Neonatal Unit at Leeds General Infirmary.
The medical staff were superb, they couldn't have done more for the lad but miracles were not to be. He was too long without oxygen and his brain was damaged and other organs like his kidneys and liver failed as well.
So on the 14th April he passed peacefully away in his parents arms.
Losing a baby is awful for everyone, including the staff, but most of all for the parents and the other relatives. They were so kind and compassionate to us, his grandparents aunts and uncle. They gave us a room with a kitchen area so we could have a drink whilst we were there.
The NHS has limited funds and we understand the relatives room was provided by charitable donations.
We'd like to mark Logan's short life by helping the hospital who tried so hard form him and us. Any donation, no matter how small, is a help.
