We provide expert care and support to young people with cancer

Story

At the end of August 2014 Welsh John (aka John Plant), my Airedale Matty and I are setting off to walk the Welsh Coastal Path - all 750 odd miles of it.  Why?  Well why not?  and in any case neither JP nor I are of totally sound mind and we both enjoy a good walk.  Matty also enjoys a good walk though I'm not sure she's ever envisaged going that far.

It will be a beautiful walk through some of the most stunning scenery in the British Isles (the fact that he is Welsh and I am half Welsh has no bearing on our opinion).

It should take us about 7 weeks and we shall be supported by John's partner Lindsay and my husband (also John - no confusion there) who will bring changes of knickers and dogs if Matty needs a break at regular intervals.

As we are walking round Wales and we both have strong Welsh connections we are planning to split the funds raised between the TCT units at Alder Hey Childrens' Hospital in Liverpool which serves the young people of North Wales and University Hospital, Cardiff which covers the south and mid-Wales areas.

We should love anyone who feels up to it to join us at any point on the walk.  Watch this space and Facebook for updates of how to join in.  Our web site is www.ploddingon.org.uk.
