In 2007 my friend Karen was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, in 2009 she was diagnosed with secondaries or "squatters"as she called them.

Karen fought this with sheer determination and bravery and  helped so many women going through the same, through her bloggs and facebook page offering advice or just a listening ear.

In 2011 Karen decided to climb Snowdon to raise money for Macmillan who had helped her throughout her treatment, sadly half way up the weather changed and karen and her walking buddy Nickie had to turn back, Karen was devastated but her and Nickie made a promise to try again in June this year, sadly Karen passed away on 16th of January 2013 never to fulfil her Promise, so this is where 50 of us Crazy Climbers are going to keep Kazza's Promise to reach the top on 1st June 2013
