Story

On Sunday 13th May I will be running the Great Bristol 10K.  I will be running with at least 40 other runners for Bristol Sands as the charity approaches its 40th anniversary.

I want to do this as a tribute and in memory of all those parents who have lost loved ones and to raise money for SANDS.

The SANDS charity supports anyone affected by the death of a baby and also promotes research to reduce the loss of babies lives. 17 babies are stillborn or die shortly after birth every day in the UK. This shocking figure, the loss of 6,500 babies every year, is something the public is not generally aware of. Most people think stillbirths don’t happen in the 21st century. Yet stillbirth in the UK is 10 times more common than cot death.
