Story
Hi, I did it, I crossed the finish line arms aloft and a smile on my face! Not only did I shave nearly 10 mins off last year's time and raise over £2k for Sparks, but I also really enjoyed the day and loved the whole atmosphere. Thank you all for your support :-)
I'm definitely a glutton for punishment - running London 2013 London Marathon for Sparks will be my third marathon (and I suspect my last!). This time I'd like to cross the finish line with a smile, rather than a grimace and clock a credible time. A bit of a tall order, but with your help and support for my chosen charity Sparks, I know that I can do it.
I'm running with my O2 colleagues, part of the Comms Dealer and Fidelity team and together we're hoping to raise £20k.
Congratulations to my prize draw winners Mandy and Richard Browne, Mary Dewhurst and Ros Shiel :-)
This year, as a thank you, I’m running a prize draw. If you donate (either on or offline), your name will be put in a hat and the first three names drawn will win a prize. 1 prize: food hamper; 2 prize: bottle of champagne; 3 prize: box of chocolates. Size of donation is not important – but ‘you do have to be in it to win it’!
Here's the sales pitch: donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you for your support, I really do appreciate it
Linda
