Life Cycle 4: The four corners of Great Britain · 15 August 2014 to 30 August 2014 ·

We undertake critical brain tumour research to improve survival rates across the World.

Story

Thank you for visiting the Life Cycle 4 team page. After three successful Life Cycles, The University of Nottingham's Vice-Chancellor and his team will be back in the saddle in August 2014. This year’s 1,400+ mile challenge will be the longest yet, taking in all four corners of Great Britain in aid of children's brain tumour research. Each rider will be riding in honour of a child who has battled this life-threatening disease.

Worldwide, over 30,000 children each year are diagnosed with cancer of the brain or central nervous system. In the UK, brain tumours are the largest cause of children’s cancer deaths, yet only 2% of cancer research funding has been focussed on this area.

Real progress is being made in diagnosing earlier and improving survival rates but there is so much more that our leading edge researchers want to do. Your support for Life Cycle 4 will enable crucial advances to be made and that’s why we are cycling 1400 miles to the four corners of Britain.
