Hiya! Thanks so much for visiting this page.
I'm Libby, I'm 17 years old I'd like to make a wish of my own. To be able to make a difference. The reasons I have chosen this charity are simple. Every child deserves to be happy and for their wishes to come true. As children, we have so many future aspirations, I want to be a doctor! I want to marry a rich man, I want to move out so I can eat sweeties whenever I want to. (Oh how we took for granted the days when the most stressful decision we had to make was blackcurrant or strawberry jelly!) Imagine as a child, being told that this is never going to happen, that you will never get married, or be able to have a family of your own. These children are no different to you or I, and during their precious lives battling terminal conditions, they deserve a special experience that they'll never forget.
In the words of Martin Luther King Jr, I have a dream. And my dream is that all children have a chance to smile. I have so many happy memories from my childhood to look back on, (be it faceplanting into a gingerbread house or breaking down in a wolf/bear enclosure at Woburn safari!) The parents of these terminally ill children deserve the memory of seeing their child happy. No sum of money unfortunately will be able to cure these children, but the least I can do is contribute to giving them a day that they'll never forget. So many people, including I, take life for granted, the fact there isn't a limit to the number of days I will live. The world is my oyster and I can do whatever I choose with my life, not everyone is as lucky as me and so I want to give something back.
Any contribution you can make will be greatly received. Every penny does make a difference. Even if you're unable to donate, please spread the word!
Thank you for taking the time to read this, it really does mean a lot to me and the children supported. Just the fact you're here makes you an awesome person and I really wish you all the best in life, smile, be happy, grasp every opportunity and give it your all. Make the most of your life, and be thankful that you can.
Lots of love,
Libby x
