Final preparations over with. Just 2 days until the off. Cannot believe its come round so quickly! Many thanks to all who have donated so far but we haven't finished yet. Tell all friends and family to dig deep as this is an amazing organisation that we are helping and seeing the fruits of their labour is a humbling experience. Again, many thanks but spread the word! Talks with 'ride' magazine could secure a reporter to join us on the ride. Watch this space for updates.

2012 will see 2 people travel on motorcycles 1273 miles from warrington in the Uk to Budapest in Hungary in 24 Hours. This is the founding place of the charity this Trek is in Aid of  'Stick n Step'

We promised after our last long expedition we would hang up our boots however 2012 will see the hardest yet.  The Trek will see us travel through 5 different countries, 'France, Belgium, Germany, Austria and Hungary and all within 24 Hours. (Try and google map it, its 20 Hours none stop) leaving little/No time for rest.

'I think the hardest part will be travelling at high speeds through germany when we have already been travelling well in to double figures of Hours.'

Why ! Well Briefly... Andras Pëto, the founder of conductive education, was born in Hungary. In 1945, after the end of the war in Europe, he started to work with motor disabled children in a new, carefully integrated system, which was the organisation and implementation of conductive education. In 1967, after a long period of ill health, Pëto died. Dr Mari Hari, his colleagues and students continued his work. In 1984 the present ‘Pëto’ Institute was founded in the Buda Hills in Budapest.

So thats why we are returning to the homeland and the start of the journey which enables my daughter to have a chance of an independant life.

On behalf of myself (Lee) and my equally as mad expedition partner (Jay) can we take this oppertunity to thank you for taking the time to read our page and thankyou for your kind donations.

 30th July 2012

Preperations for our last training trip and a chance for us all to try out our new gear and put it to the test. This will be on 18th August just 2 weeks before we go. Air seats and heated grips order of the day amongst many changes to our bikes. Martin has recovered well from his damaged arm and thankfully shouldbe fully fit. Nerves starting to kick in now and just cant wait to get on our way.

For everyone who is donating it really means a lot to the children.

On behalf of the team. Thanks
