Story
Several years ago an old school friend who was diagnosed with leukaemia, passed away.
I will challenge myself to a 500 mile cycle ride in just 4 days to raise money for research into cures for leukaemia.
I will set-off from Lands End (the southern most point of Great Britain) on Tuesday 4th September and hope to arrive at Windermere (in far north of England) on Friday 7th September. I will complete the challenge without a support team and wind and rain will not deter me!
Those who know me know I love cycling. However, the longest ride I have managed is 200 miles over 2 days, this was several years ago. There will be sweat and tears if I am to go the distance! It is going to hurt!
There are 4 confirmed riders that will join me for a portion of this gruelling challenge - Simon Cox (Launceston to Bristol), Daniel Comerford (Bristol to Windermere), Ryan Comerford (Nantwich to Windermere) and Mark Maguire (Nantwich to Windermere).
Thank you for reading and please donate.
PS. All of the donations will go directly to the Leukaemia and Lymphoma charity which is the only UK charity solely dedicated to research into blood cancers. I will pay all the costs of the ride such as transport, accomodation and food.
