Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page!
Those of you who know me well will know why the Intensive Care Unit at Bristol Children's Hospital means so much to us:
Our 3 year old son Edward was born with a congenital heart defect and he had open heart surgery in Bristol when he was just 6 months old, without which he would not be here today.
And boy is he here today! He is one of the happiest, strongest, livliest little boys you'll meet. He is big and he is clever and he adds sparkle to the lives of all that he meets. He does not yet know that he is more than likely to need heart surgery again when he is in his teens.
Leah and I owe so much to the Intensive Care Unit at Bristol Children's hospital where Edward was cared for immediately after surgery. Everyday it helps boys and girls recover from a wide range of very serious life-threatening illnesses.
So in September myself, my brother Stewart, and Paul and Kieran will walk/crawl the entire length of the Cotswold Way national trail (103 miles) in just 3 days (it's usually done in a week!), to raise sponsorship money for the Bristol Childrens Hospital Intensive Care Unit and we are asking you please, to sponsor us as generously as you can to support us in our fundraising efforts, and more importantly to support the Bristol Children's Hospital Intensive Care Unit.
