Leah and the family met Steve Burne at the Ronald McDonald House Manchester in 2013. Steve as part of his role of Chairman of the board of the house, presented Leah with her room sponsorship. Steve and Leah struck up a friendship but we never really knew how much of an impact Leah had on Steve until she passed away in July 2013. Steve supported the Love4Leah cause and we became dear friends. In Spring of 2017 Steve became unwell and was diagnosed with cancer, it was all a bit surreal given that his tumour is similar to Leahs, an aggressive soft tissue sarcoma, not only that but he had it in the exact same place in the shoulder and has undergone similar treatment to Leah. His cancer is terminal and aggressive but Steve like Leah is a fighter and wont go down without a fight. 

Steve has supported Ronald McDonald House Charities for many years doing countless events to raise money. This time he is doing something extra special.

Steve has made it his mission to help get funding for these rooms and in his honour the charity will name them the Steve Burne Rooms. At Love4Leah we will do all we can to help Steve raise this money. We will take part in sponsored walks and do some other little mini fundraisers and help others fundraising where we can.
