Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page!

My mum and I are hoping to raise as much money as possible for Motor Neurone Disease as our neighbour John was diagnosed with the condition in 2011. We would like to raise money specifically for the Manchester MND branch and increase awareness to help John and others in his situation.

To raise money my mum is running the Wilmslow Half Marathon on Sunday 3rd April 2016 and 7 days later on Sunday 10th April, I am running the Manchester Marathon. This is a huge challenge for me as I have never run a marathon before and 26.2 miles is a VERY long way!

A bit about the condition:

Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a progressive condition that attacks the motor neurones, or nerves, in the brain and spinal cord. This means that muscle begin to weaken and waste away. It affects how an individual walks, talks, speaks, eats and breathes. MND is a terminal condition and currently there is no cure. No finish line until there is a cure!

Thank-you for any money that you can donate!
