Story
Yes. On April 17th 2011 I will be donning my lycra and running 26.2 miles to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
After 10 years of cheering on my dad, and thousands of other extremely fit and inspiring people run for brilliant causes, I've finally risen to the challenge.
Marathon Week has finally arrived, not quite sure how I'm feeling; Excited, but equally as scared! Aiming to do under 5 hours on the day, and willing that none of those pesky Rhinos beat me!
The hard work will all be worthwhile for every penny donated will go to Macmillan Cancer Support.
1 in 3 of us will get this nasty disease in our lives, and having witnessed the support the Macmillan Teams have provided for loved ones and their families, I didn’t have to think twice for my chosen charity to support. If everyone could donate even the littlest amount, we can help support Macmillan Nurses to support families through the tougher times.
You can pay by credit or debit card, and the money will go directly to Macmillan Cancer Support. Where supporters are UK taxpayers, the charity will automatically receive 28% extra in Gift Aid, which makes Justgiving the most efficient way of sponsoring.
I will be running in loving memory of Uncle Kenny and Ede Low, both sadly lost this past year, and dearly missed.
Any donations tiny or big will be massively appreciated by myself and Macmillan, THANK YOU in advance!
