Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, your donations are totally secure and the money goes directly to the charity.

I'm jumping for joy again! After last years success with my sky dive raising over £500 for Mind to use supporting sufferers it's time for me to spring into action again, Saturday 5th October i'll be hurtling towards the Tyne in Newcastle attached to a bungee cord.

Thankfully there has been much more discussion regarding mental health with celebrities such as Catherine Zeta-Jones taking time out to treat her bipolar disorder (aka Manic depression)

The effects and ways you can support your friends and loved-ones are only just being discussed as it has been a near-taboo subject; often misunderstood. It's so widespread chances are you know someone who's struggling and it's so hard to reach out.

The popular public figure Stephen Fry once said "If you know someone who is depressed, please resolve never to ask them why. Depression isn't a straightforward response to a bad situation, depression just is, like the weather.

Try to understand the blackness, lethargy, hopelessness, and loneliness they're going through. be there for them when they come out the other side. It's hard to be a friend to someone who's depressed, but it is one of the kindest, noblest, and best thing you will ever do."

And this is why i'm so driven and committed to do the things for years I would have dismissed during my illness, I was so afraid, anxious and isolated.

The charity Mind have so much advice and support for sufferers and their carers -but need our help as funding is scarce.

Please sponsor me and help someone live again.
