English is a really fundmental skill to have, without it the chance of achieving a university education or employment in Asia is very difficult. The school I have been assigned to is very rural and in desperate need of English-speaking teachers, therefore it is my aim to raise the funds for the fantastic charity VESL to send me out there and help! The money you donate goes straight to the charity and the school, I pay for everything else myself. 

VESL are a very small and relatively young charity, and therefore don't recieve a great deal of support and rely solely on the funds raised by their volunteers, like me! I know my visit and the visits of other great VESL volunteers will make a positive difference to the kids so any donation you could make to this fantastic cause would make a huge difference!
