We fund long-term, sustainable research to find a cure for brain tumours

Story

Fliss and I are running 10 miles from Calvert Green to Great Horwood and cycling 16 miles along Milton Keynes Cycle paths on the weekend of 8th June. We are doing this for Taylans Project which is an umbrella charity of Brain Tumor Research.

Taylan was a family friend who, aged 7 years, tradgecially died in August 2009 after being diagnosed in October 2008 with an inoperable and incurable brain tumor.

Taylans Project was founded by Taylans family in January 2010 to commemorate Taylan's short and happy life and to continue with his legacy to help others.

As an umbrella group of Brain Tumor Research, their aim is to raise awareness and much needed funds in order to help find a cure for this devastating illness.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.
