Story
Fraser, Chris and Myself are signed up to The Richshaw Run Winter 2011. It involves us driving some 2500Kms from the North to the South of India in, YES, a Richshaw! 7 horse power of unreliable, loud and uncomfortable power.
The event organisers 'The Adventurists' give us a location and start date (1st Jan) and a finishing line and date (15th Jan). Between those points we are on our own and have to average approx 6 hours of driving a day! To give you some idea of the distance, it's like driving from London to Moscow.
I'm not sure how any of us ended up on this event but in search of adventure we are hoping to make it back in one piece with a decent donation to the events official charity Frank Water Projects and an equally generous donation to a Retts syndrome charity to support girls like Emily's 9 year old little sister Molly who was diagnosed with the syndrome from an early age. All costs associated with the trip are paid for by us and any money raised for charity goes directly to Frank Water Projects and Retts syndrome. The event organisers specify that we raise £1000 for Frank water projects then any thing over goes to a charity of our choice. It would be great to raise an equal £1000 for Retts UK.
