Story
1000 miles. 10 days (or so). 2 old touring bikes. 2 Jameses. 1 very good cause.
Back in the long winter of 2008, after a game of squash and a couple of recuperative beers, James and I made the seemingly easy decision to do this challenge. Now with the start date rapidly approaching, our bikes in bits, and our training plan obviously a work of fiction, we are increasingly worried but every bit as excited...If you'd like to follow our progress, please look at our blog, or even sign up to email updates at http://www.lejogjames.blogspot.com/
Nearly one in four pensioners are in poverty. James and I agreed early on in our planning that we wanted to raise money for older people and during our research we came across the excellent work of Age Concern Bristol. The mission of Age Concern Bristol is to improve the quality of life for older people. Their work involves schemes such as providing advice and information, housing support, befriending and community development (www.ageconcernbristol.org.uk). James and I feel happy and privileged to be supporting them. Please dig deep, your contribution could make a real difference.
Cheers, James and James
