Story
On December 14th 2013 the bottom fell out of our world when we were told that our baby's heart wasn't beating anymore, we gave birth to our beautiful baby Ellie 3 months too early the next day on the 15th. In less than 72 hrs we had gone from being excited about becoming parents to parenting a baby who we never got to bring home.
We buried our daughter on the 23rd December, a heartache that no parent should ever have to go through, and the loss of Ellie changed us as individuals and we have had to learn to live our 'new normal life' and try not to focus on the what ifs.
We are lucky that we now have 2 wonderful (mostly!) daughters who we are grateful every day to have in our lives, our pregnancies with them were mentally challenging and stressful experiences.
Because that isn't enough of a challenge in the last 5 years, I always said that once our family was complete I would train and hopefully complete a half marathon, in memory of Ellie on what should of been the month of her 5th birthday and to raise money for a charity that works to decrease stillbirths and support bereaved parents who have sadly lost a baby like us.
So please sponsor me even if it is just the price of a coffee, this is a big challenge for me as I am not a runner, but hope to raise a decent amount for our local branch of Sands in Bath
