Story

When Lana was born back in January 2011 to our good friends Julian and Bridgette she was tiny. As she was 6 weeks premature, she was immediately put in an incubator and was finally brought home on her due date.  At just 6 months old, Lana was diagnosed with a serious heart condition called Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, which basically meant her heart was very large and rigid for her little frame. Through alot of ups and downs, Lana was finally admitted to the Evelina Childrens Hospital in Westminster during October 2011, where she remained whilst they endeavoured to locate a donor heart for her. Unfortunately this was not to be, and Lana passed away in May 2012, aged just 16 months old.

I am proud to say that I am Lana's God-mother she touched so many hearts, and that I am joining Lana's parents in their trek up Scafell Pike (highest mountain in Britain) on the 25May13.

Whilst doing this, we are hoping to raise much needed funds for the hospital where Lana spent most of her last 7 months living.

They desperately need sensory equipment to be installed within the cardiac section of the Savannah ward. This will enable future babies/children who have to visit this ward, whether it be for a long or short stay, as enjoyable and educational as possible.

Therefore, I ask you to dig deep and donate now - I have not taken on this challenge lightly!!

Thank you for your generousity.
