Story
If you didn't know already, back in December 2011 I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Kev Sweet - diabetes. Oh, the irony.
Anyway. Decided running 13.1 miles for Diabetes UK is probably more than worthwhile.
The cause of type 1 diabetes is unknown. It can happen to anyone, at anytime. It doesn't have to run in your family. And, as I've had to explain to a few people over the last year, you can't catch it.....
In order for Diabetes UK to let me run for them, I need to raise £350. Ideally, I'd like to raise 10 times that. Please, please spare what you can - I'd be eternally grateful. I'd like to think that at some point in my lifetime, I wont have to inject insulin 4-5 times a day!
Even, if its only a quid, it's something. So instead of buying that Mars Bar, or can of Coke, go sugarfree for the day and give me the money!
To my family - you have no excuse
To my main circle of friends - you have no excuse
To those of you I've sent this link, but haven't spoken to in years - you do have an excuse.
I'm targetting under 2 hours. If I achieve it, I'll double the amount rasied out of my own pocket, unless this goes viral!
Thanks very much
Kev
