Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

I have completed six marathons since 2008. In that year, I raised over £700 for Voluntary Service Overseas that enabled me to participate in their "Global Xchange" programme. This included six months of  community based volunteering in Bristol and the Philippines

In April 2014 I obtained a personal best marathon time of 2 hrs 57 minutes. This enabled me to qualify for the London marathon under the "Good For Age" category. Given the world renowned status of London I felt that it was appropriate to fundraise again for this race.

I made contact with SCIAF (Scottish Catholic International Aid Fund) as I realised that they were running a host of projects to commemorate their 50th anniversary in 2015. It was at this point I offered to fundraise.

SCIAF is the most renowned international development charity based in Scotland and has attracted support from Scots of all faiths and none.
