Dean Bettison & Myself will be undertaking the ride on behalf of RL Cares. We will now also be undertaking the challenge in memory of Raymond Greenfield. A fellow Rhinos Fan and Ambassador for the rhinos. Our Friend tragically passed away prior to the Rhinos game against Toulouse. We will be carrying a Rhinos Shirt, Embossed Raymond 33. Upon reaching the Iconic Stadium we will, with a host of RL legends present Ray's Father Dougie with the Rays shirt.
Not only is it 300Miles of Off-road Mountain Biking, from Manchester, Media City to The Iconic Wembley Stadium. We will have over 15000ft of Climbing to endure too.
This year I will be leading a team of 25 riders, some total novices, on a route I've plotted, 'no pressure'. Along with managing my own ride and physical performance, I will be navigating. There will also be the expectation from my experience to lead the team and manage everybody's speed and limits, which will be quiet a task as each individual differs when they hit the physical barriers the ride will throw at us.
The Ride will also include several past RL Players. We have ex England Captain, former Hull FC and Leeds Rhinos star Gareth Ellis joining us. BBC's Robbie Hunter Paul, Paul Highton, Mich Cassidy, Nathan McAvoy and Andy Lynch. With Support from Keith Senior.
Even though big strong lads on the pitch, 16-18 stone on a bike is hard going.
Please help me by donating to RL Cares, giving something back to the game that has been a large part of my life, supporting those players and individuals involved in the game through injury and hardship.
